The flat, which had apparently been abandoned, is located in Óbidos, a tourist resort in the north of Lisbon. The find might confirm that an ETA group has settled down in Portugal.
Portuguese security forces found a flat used by Basque armed group ETA in the tourist resort of Óbidos, located 100 kilometres north of Lisbon, which hid plenty of explosives, several news agency reported quoting anti-terrorist investigation sources.
A large arsenal was found inside, with plenty of explosives such as nitromethane, detonators and attachable bombs.
The find could confirm that the armed group have an established infrastructure in Portugal. In fact, two alleged ETA members were arrested on January 9th in Zamora --a Spanish province neighbouring that country-- for carrying explosives.
Security forces found the flat following a call of a woman saying that the tenants who had rented her apartment in a tourist village had disappeared.
