62% of Basques satisfied with sex-life

Basques spend an average of 2.5 hours a week making love and 62% are sexually satisfied, though 88% feel their sex-life could improve.

62% of Basques are satisfied with their sex lives, while 88% believe their sexual relations could improve, according to data compiled in the ''Report on the sexual health habits of the Spanish population''.

According to the study, carried out by biomedical company Pfizer on 3,000 Spaniards aged between 25 and 70, Basques are among those on the Peninsular most likely to talk about sex (20% compared to a national average of 17%) and also those who speak most honestly about it, as verified by 70% of Basques taking part.

With regard to the time dedicated to sexual relations in the Autonomous Community, the average amount was placed at 2.5 hours per week, a figure slightly higher than the national average of 2.3 hours.

Most Basques meanwhile enjoy good sexual health, though 22% admit to having had a sex-related problem some time during the last year. Lack of libido (42%) was the most common, followed by vaginal dryness (28%), routine (25%) and erectile dysfunction.
