The so-called 'mechanic doping' rumours are growing. Former cyclist Davide Cassani explained on Italian television how the mechanism is used and points to Cancellara.
The 50-year old cyclist Cassani was also the one who made Rasmussen leave the Tour de France of 2007. He was able to get a ''mechanic doped bike'' and shows in the video how it is used.
"The bike is identical to any other bike. The tiny engine is hidden in the frame and makes the pedals rotate faster", Cassani explained.
Rumours are growing that Swiss cyclist Fabian Cancellara used such a bike in the Tour of Flandres and Paris-Roubaix. The two classics he won earlier this year.
"I could win a stage in the Giro with this bike", 50-year old Cassani said.
Here is the video. Judge yourself.
