Luca Brecel is currently the biggest talent in snooker. The 15-year old Belgian has beaten some of the best European players and can now add the EC-trophee to his already rich collection.

The 2010 edition of the European Championship was held in Bucharest, Romania this year.

Brecel was the strongest in the final against 31-year old Dutchman Roy Stolk. After trailing by 1-3, Brecel took over and won 5 frames in a row. Stolk would only win one more game. The final score was 7-4.

Special guest and snooker legend Jimmy White was the one to hand the young Belgian the trophy. For Brecel it''s his second European title after he won the under-19 title last year.

It''s also the second title for Belgium as Wendy Jans won the European Ladies Competition yesterday.

Snooker players have to be 16 years old to compete in the World Ranking Tournaments, so Brecel has to be patient for another year to compete with his idols.
