Edurne Aginaga third place in Sony World Photography Awards

The Basque photographer won the third place in the category of best conceptual photography. The Sony World Photography Awards is widely recognised as the leading global photographic awards program.
Basque photographer Edurne Aginaga was announced on Thursday as the third place of the Sony World Photography Awards' in the category of Conceptual Photography behind second-place France's Florian Ruiz and first-place Ukrainia's Roman Pyatkovka. The Basque photographer's work was an interplay of perspectives entitled 'Lie Down'.
The Sony World Photography Awards is widely recognized as the leading global photographic awards program in existence today.
Launched in 2008, the awards are dedicated to supporting and cultivating photographic culture. The annual awards gala and ceremony takes place in London, welcoming an international attendance of industry leaders to celebrate the recognition of the best in contemporary photography and each year also pays tribute to one of our masters with the Outstanding Contribution to Photography Award.
Supporting the celebration, is a month-long exhibition of the winners and finalists, comprising of hundreds of photographs expertly curated inside the historic London landmark, Somerset House from 26 April to 12 May.
