'Restaurant' magazine to announce world's 50 best restaurants 2010

The awards will take place on Monday 26th April at the Guildhall in London. The results will be published in the May issue of Restaurant Magazine.
The S.Pellegrino World''s 50 Best Restaurants 2010 will be announced on Monday 26th April at the historic Guildhall in the City of London, in the company of the world''s finest chefs, international media and the world''s most influential restaurateurs.
The S. Pellegrino World''s 50 Best Restaurants Awards and List is organised and compiled by Restaurant Magazine, and sponsored by S.Pellegrino.
The results are published in the May issue of Restaurant Magazine. There will also be a World''s 50 Best Restaurants Guide available from the 27th April, this guide will be a must-have accessory for the increasing number of loyal followers of the list, and will be available worldwide.
The list is created from The World''s 50 Best Restaurants Academy, an influential group of over 800 international leaders in the restaurant industry. The Academy comprises 26 separate regions around the world, and each region has its own panel of 31 members including a chairperson to head it up.
Past winners
There were two Basque restaurants included in last year''s Top 10 list:&' || 'nbsp; Andoni Aduriz’s Mugaritz and Juan Mari Arzak’s Arzak. Mugaritz obtained fourth position and Arzak in the eighth one. In addition, Martin Berasategui''s restaurant was 33th in the list and Asador Etxebarri 39th.
The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards are now entering their ninth year. This is a list of the winners since 2002:
2008 - El Bulli is the first to make it three years in a row as number 1. 2007 - A second year at the top for El Bulli. 2006 - El Bulli regains top spot. 2005 - The Fat Duck claims the top prize. 2004 - The French Laundry stays at number 1. 2003 - The French Laundry becomes the new number 1. 2002 - El Bulli named Best Restaurant in the World in the first Restaurant Magazine listing.
