Shakira kicks off her tour of Latin America

World famous Colombian pop star Shakira has kicked off her concert dates in Latin America as part of her worldwide "Pop Festival Tour."

After playing in the cities of Salta and Cordoba, the singer performed for tens of thousands of people in Puerto Madero, in Buenos Aires on Saturday (5 March 2011.)

One excited fan said he had been to two concerts already.

"We''re really excited even though we have seen her shows in Salta and Cordoba. Shakira is incredible and sensational."

The Grammy Award-winning singer sang songs from her latest album "Sale el Sol" as well as some of her classics. She also included a cover of Metallica''s "Nothin Else Matters".
