American rock band Kings of Leon will play at next year's edition of Bilbao BBK Live which takes place this year between 11th and 13th July, the BBK Live organization confirmed on Tuesday.

The US band will play their only Spanish gig in 2013 at the Biscay capital's annual music event.

Kings of Leon are the third headlining act confirmed by the organizers of 2013's Bilbao BBK Live after Depeche Mode and Green Day were earlier confirmed. The organizers also confirmed on Tuesday the British band Editors.

Kings of Leon originated in Talihina, Oklahoma but formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 1999. The band is composed of brothers Anthony Caleb Followill, Ivan Nathan Followill and Michael Jared Followill with their cousin Cameron Matthew Followill. The group is named for their grandfather Leon from Talihina, Oklahoma.

The band's early music was an upbeat blend of Southern rock and blues influences, but it has gradually expanded over the years to include a variety of genres and a more alternative, arena rock sound.

Vouchers for the Bilbao BBK Live 2013 festival are on sale at a price of 85 euros (plus distribution costs(6 euros)) until next December 11th.
