Latest acts for BBK Live include Jeff Tweedy and Band of Skulls

The line-up for Bilbao BBK Live 2010 continues to take shape. A total of seven new bands have been confirmed for the Biscay festival''s 5th edition being held this July 8th-10th in Kobetamendi. The lead singer of Wilco heads the list of new signings, which also includes Biffy Clyro, Anti-Flag, Band of Skulls, The Maccabees, Gomez and Zain, who join previously signed acts Pearl Jam, Rammstein, Faith No More, Alice in Chains and Manic Street Preachers, among others.

Jeff Tweedy (USA, 1967) started his musical career with alternative country band Uncle Tupelo with whom he played for seven years between 1987 and 1994, when he formed his current group Wilco, with whom he has achieved international acclaim.

English band Gomez, formed in 1997, have six albums to their name as well as numerous awards received in both the UK and US. Their music is a mix of indie, alternative rock, folk and experimental.

Bilbao BBK Live 2010 will also introduce new and talented acts, such as English alternative rock group Band of Skulls; south London indie-rock band The Maccabees as well as local Biscay group Zain, winners of a demo album competition held by Basque youth radio station Gaztea, run by EITB.
