Basque trapped in Libya travels to Malta by ferry

Joseba Etxeberria left the country this afternoon aboard a Greek ferry chartered by Germany, and which will dock in the capital of Malta, as ETB was informed.
Joseba Etxebarria, the Basque from Lekeitio (Biscay) who has been trapped in the Libyan city of Ras Lanuf since political unrest broke out in Libya, has finally left the African country, according to the Basque Country''s public broadcast service ETB. Joseba Etxeberria left the country this afternoon aboard a ferry bearing a Greek flag and chartered by Germany. There were over 400 people of several nationalities traveling in the same ship. The ferry is heading to Malta and will dock in its capital, La Valeta.
